SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO 10/13/2022: The 13th Biennial Harm Reduction Conference attracted more than 3,000 harm reductionists to San Juan. They came to learn, share best practices, fellowship with one another, have fun and enjoy the beautiful destination touting blue waters and pristine beaches. After speaking with officials on the ground in San Juan, conference organizers determined it was safe to proceed with plans to host the largest conference in Puerto Rico since Hurricane Fiona struck the island. #HarmRed2020 is a record breaking conference in many ways. In-person, onsite preregistration on Tuesday topped 750, the largest number ever for NHRC. The conference nearly tripled attendance over previous years. The Caribe Hilton Hotel, with its 24-hour, open-air lobby is well prepared to receive and pamper harm reductionist who labor with love 365 days a year in the movement.
