Lighthouse Learning Webinar: Trauma Informed Care
In this training, we will explore the impact of trauma on both individuals and the providers who support them. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how trauma can affect emotional well-being, behavior, relationships, and engagement with services, as well as the ways in which secondary or vicarious trauma can influence professionals working in helping roles. We will also examine the principles of a healing-centered approach, which moves beyond addressing trauma alone to focus on strengths, hope, cultural identity, and overall well-being. Through discussion and practical application, participants will learn strategies to foster healing, empowerment, and resilience in themselves and those they serve. By integrating these approaches into daily practice, we can create more supportive environments, strengthen relationships with program participants, and enhance our ability to provide compassionate, effective, and person-centered services.
