Foundational Fridays – Overdose 101
This 2 -hour webinar is a part of our Foundational Fridays Series taking place every last Friday of the month from 12pm– 2 pm EST from July 2025 – June 2026.
This webinar provides foundational knowledge on overdose prevention, with a particular focus on opioid overdose. Through a harm reduction lens, we will explore practical strategies for preventing, recognizing, and responding to overdose events, as well as offering compassionate care and support afterward. Participants will gain an understanding of common risk factors for opioid overdose, learn evidence-based prevention strategies, and review how bystanders can safely intervene using naloxone and other tools. The session also emphasizes the importance of nonjudgmental, person-centered support following an overdose reversal.
