Foundational Fridays – Overdose 101

This 2 -hour webinar is a part of our Foundational Fridays Series taking place every Friday from noon – 2 pm from April 2022 – June 2022. This webinar focuses on basic knowledge of overdose prevention with a large focus on opioid overdose. We will include discussions on preventing, identifying, responding, and providing care after an overdose.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify risk factors for opioid overdose.
  • Discuss strategies to prevent overdose.
  • Recall how a bystander can assist in an overdose reversal.
  • Offer compassionate support after the person regains consciousness.

Prerequisite: None, but viewing our Foundations of Harm Reduction is highly recommended

Audience: All health and human service providers, including Peers Workers
