JOINT STATEMENT: FIHR AND NHRC ANNOUNCE A NEW CHAPTER

FIHR and NHRC announce a new chapter

For the past six years, National Harm Reduction Coalition (NHRC) has incubated Faith in Harm Reduction (FIHR) and the work to build and strengthen the harm reduction movement in faith-based mobilization efforts and spaces. During this time, FIHR has mobilized a robust action network of over 2,100 faith and harm reduction leaders and hosted over 250 events, trainings, roundtables, and community care gatherings, as well as developed a library of innovative spiritual, theological, and other faith-based harm reduction resources. We are forever grateful for the healing and moving work we have done together.

NHRC and FIHR are thrilled to announce that FIHR has officially been established as a 501(c)3, and will now operate independently of NHRC, though the partnership will remain and continue to grow in different capacities moving forward. With this new direction, we are looking forward to opportunities to work in collaboration and strengthen harm reduction in policy, practice, and spirit!
