ACT UP! FIGHT BACK! FIGHT AIDS!

On Wednesday, April 24th, HRC staff, volunteers and interns showed their support for the fight against HIV/AIDs by joining hundreds of others marching in lower Manhattan making the statement that the fight against HIV will never be over.

The march, commemorating the 25th anniversary of ACT-UP’s first action on Wall Street, was proposing a .05% tax on all Wall Street transactions and speculative trades in order to raise the money needed to end the global AIDS epidemic and provide universal healthcare in the US. While AIDS deaths are significantly lower than they were a couple decades ago, more can be done, and the fight continues until AIDS is history.
