Foundational Fridays – Sexual and Reproductive Health 101
This 2-hour webinar is a part of our Foundational Fridays Series taking place every last Friday of the month from 12pm – 2 pm EST from July 2025-June 2026.
This webinar will provide an essential overview of sexual and reproductive health, with a focus on promoting informed decision-making and well-being. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of key topics such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and the ways in which drug use can impact reproductive health. Emphasizing a harm reduction approach, the session will guide participants on how to engage individuals in respectful, non-judgmental conversations about their sexual and reproductive health needs.
Throughout the webinar, participants will learn how to effectively discuss topics such as sexual anatomy, menstrual health, pregnancy, and common STIs, while offering practical prevention strategies tailored to the unique circumstances of the individuals they work with. Participants will also explore ways to provide compassionate, client-centered guidance that empowers individuals to make healthier choices about their sexual and reproductive health.
By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to discuss sexual anatomy, explain the menstrual cycle and pregnancy processes, and provide clear, accurate information on common STIs, including prevention methods. The session will emphasize harm reduction strategies to ensure participants can create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to openly discuss and address their sexual and reproductive health concerns.
This webinar is designed to enhance participants’ capacity to integrate harm reduction principles into their work, fostering better communication, education, and overall health outcomes for program participants.
