Foundational Fridays – Sex Work 101

This 2-hour webinar is a part of our Foundational Fridays Series taking place every last Friday of the month from 12 pm – 2pm EST from July 2025 – June 2025. This webinar offers an introduction to sex work through a harm reduction lens, with a focus on addressing the stigma experienced by people who engage in sex work. Participants will explore ways to provide relevant, nonjudgmental harm reduction information and support. The session emphasizes person-centered approaches that respect autonomy, dignity, and lived experience. By the end of the webinar, partici6ants will be able to discuss the impact of stigma on sex workers, identify harm reduction strategies tailored to sex work, and apply effective outreach and engagement techniques that promote trust, safety, and empowerment.

Prerequisite: None, but taking our Foundations of Harm Reduction course is highly recommended

Audience: Sex workers, outreach workers, people with lived experience, coordinators, managers, peers, and front line workers, all are welcome!
