Foundational Fridays – Outreach 101

This 2-hour webinar is a part of our Foundational Fridays Series taking place every last Friday of the month from 12pm – 2 pm EST from July 2025-June 2026. This webinar introduces the fundamentals of effective outreach, grounded in harm reduction principles. Participants will review essential safety practices for themselves and their coworkers, and explore strategies for building trust and engaging meaningfully with individuals in community settings. The session will cover best practices for outreach work, including communication techniques, boundaries, and cultural humility. By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to identify key outreach principles, implement safety measures during outreach and shift work, and apply a harm reduction approach to participant engagement.

Prerequisite: None, but taking our Foundations of Harm Reduction course is highly recommended

Audience: All health and human service providers, including Peers Workers
