Building the National Harm Reduction Movement: Organizational Rebrand & Website Redesign REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Organizational Overview

The national Harm Reduction Coalition is celebrating 25 years of promoting policies and programs that support people who use drugs through advocacy, policy, capacity building, training, and convening activities across the country. In 2020, we’re looking to update our organization’s brand and overhaul our entire website to launch our next 25 years of work to build the national harm reduction movement. Our new organizational brand and website will speak to audiences that have an interest or direct experience with fighting overdose, preventing HIV and hepatitis C, challenging stigma around drug use, and uplifting the health and dignity of people who use drugs. We are seeking a team that is excited about our mission and can be the lead on this project. The rebrand component will include a new look-feel, logo, taglines, and organizational messaging and imagery. The website redesign component will take the most useful and utilized elements of our existing website, input from our community (e.g. key partners, stakeholders, and audiences), and user experience design to launch a new website that is designed around our strategic priorities and meets community needs. Project Overview

We are looking for a team that can update and build off of our existing organizational messaging to collaborate on creating updated messaging that speaks to a wide variety of audiences, communicating our values in a compelling, memorable, and inspiring manner. A key component of this project is the meaningful inclusion of a variety of internal and community stakeholders; our team will actively participate in the process to define audiences and recruit people for identity and messaging feedback and expect the team selected to suggest the process and lead presentations.

Our team is looking for a team who will be able to synthesize information and content, create a website that is easy to maintain, center the user experience for the public to access critical resources, and include room to grow to include features like a resource map or expanding functionality of our existing online training institute. The national Harm Reduction Coalition website serves as a critical community resource and must be reliable, secure, user-friendly, engaging through storytelling, and expansive.
