Overdose Prevention & Response

By the end of this course, you’ll have a basic foundation of opioid overdose risks and strategies to reduce overdose in your community. First we’ll review the history of overdose prevention work and naloxone in the United States and the current context of the opioid overdose epidemic, including information about fentanyl. Then, we’ll go over the basics of opioid overdose risk factors and how to respond to an overdose. Lastly, we’ll discuss strategies to implement overdose prevention education and programs in your community.
