Kristen Marshall

Kristen Marshall joined Harm Reduction Coalition in November 2017 as the DOPE Project Manager, overseeing overdose prevention and education and naloxone access for people who use drugs and the providers who serve them in San Francisco. Before landing at HRC, she served drug users in various capacities in the city, including as a medical case manager for Medi-Cal, a program manager for Homeless Youth Alliance, and eventually, as the overdose prevention and inventory manager at Syringe Access Services, a program of the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, where she started out as a volunteer six years prior. There, she primarily served drug users in the South of Market, Tenderloin, Bayview, Castro, Mission, and Haight neighborhoods, assisted in the expansion of the 6th Street Harm Reduction Center, and implemented over 60 hours of naloxone access throughout San Francisco for people who use drugs and their loved ones. As DOPE Project Manager, she’s excited to support frontline workers as they implement overdose prevention into their organizations, as well as expand programmatic reach to historically underserved areas of San Francisco, as well as integrate naloxone and overdose prevention and education into the broader community of the city.
