DESCRIPTION:*This Training is for Wyoming and Intermountain West folks*\nTraining Overview: Overdose is now the leading cause of death for people under 55 in the United States, with death rates steadily increasing year after year in most of the country. \nIn this hour long session, we’ll explore the systems and circumstances that put people who use drugs at risk for overdose; the barriers, challenges, and discrimination they face in accessing resources to prevent overdose; and how harm reduction seeks to honor the autonomy of people who use drugs by putting power to save lives and minimize harm in their hands. \nTraining Objectives:\nBy the end of this workshop participants will be able to:\n\nExplain risk factors for opioid overdose and strategies to reduce these risks\nDescribe the impact of naloxone on someone whose overdose was successfully reversed\nDispel myths regarding opiate overdose and administration of naloxone\nExamine how to apply overdose prevention and response interventions in your daily work\n\n \nZoom registration link: https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_I89AcvjRTLKjbcoh8hbGmg \n
