Trauma and Transience: Engaging LGBTQI Traveler Youth and Young Adults

Description:    To share information on how to provide ongoing harm reduction services for LGBTQI-identified homeless, transient youth and young adults.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  • Identify three sociocultural factors which contribute to the life experiences of LGBTQI+ identified transient youth and young adults.
  • Describe best practices for engaging LGBTQI+ transient youth and young adult in harm reduction services.
  • Develop strategies to keep LGBTQI+ transient youth and young adults connected to harm reduction services throughout as they travel away from New York City.

This one day training will offer peer workers information about hepatitis C and will cover basic facts about hepatitis A and B.
