Jared Ringer

Jarad Ringer, LMSW, has been a social worker for nearly 20 years, working with LGBTQ communities, people living with HIV, drug users, people with mental illness and sex work. He is currently a PhD student in Social Welfare at CUNY Hunter College, where his research focuses on LGBTQ communities and crystal methamphetamine use. Prior to academia, Jarad worked for the New York City Anti-Violence Project, where he started their harm reduction programming in collaboration with several harm reduction programs in New York City. He has served in several leadership roles, including the New York City Department of Health HIV Planning Group, Providers of Resources Offering Services to Sex Workers (PROS) Network, and the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs.
