DOPE Project Logistics Coordinator

20 hours per week

As a critical member of our overdose prevention efforts, the position will support the DOPE Project Manager through logistical support and coordination of naloxone distribution efforts in the Bay Area.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assemble naloxone kits, disseminate to naloxone distribution sites in San Francisco
  • Collect data from all naloxone distribution sites, monitor for accuracy/issues
  • Enter data into secure DOPE Project database
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory, as well as submit check requests to NY office
  • Schedule site coverage each month, disseminate monthly schedule of trainings to SF providers
  • Process timesheets for DOPE trainers
  • Monitor training quality by periodically conducting visits to sites to observe trainers
  • Provide coverage for naloxone distribution sites, conduct trainings on naloxone with area service providers and organize group trainings as needed
  • Other duties as requested by DOPE Project Manager

Qualifications

  • Attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with multiple programs
  • Ability to accurately enter data in a timely manner
  • Ability to travel between San Francisco and Oakland to visit DOPE Project sites  and Oakland office regularly
  • Ability to communicate via email and phone in a consistent and timely manner
  • Experience providing training or education to a variety of populations
  • Comfort level working with people who use drugs, service providers, law enforcement, parents, etc.
  • Preferable that the logistics coordinator be familiar with the issues faced by drug using populations, and supportive of harm reduction practices
  • Associate’s Degree preferred, although not required.
