Hotel:
The Marriott City Center is the official hotel for the
6th National Harm Reduction Conference—Drug Users
Health: The Politics and the Personal. All conference
activities will be held at the hotel’s conference
area.
Rates:
HRC has secured special rates for the conference
$129.00 per /night for single, double, triple and quad
occupancy
Reservations: Please complete the following form and
fax it back to the hotel, or call them directly at (510)
451-4000 and be sure to tell then that you’re
with the 6th National Harm Reduction Conference.
Transportation:
From Oakland Airport Cab fare is about $35.00 each way.
The Bay Porter Shuttle Service charges each way $21.00
per person. If you are traveling in a group Bay Porter
will charge each way $21.00 for the first person and
$12.00 each additional person. Bay Porter also offers
a 7-passenger van for the amount of $75.00 each way.

From the San Francisco Airport
Cab fare is about $60.00 each way. The Bay Porter Shuttle
Service charges $30.00 each way per person. If you are
traveling in a group Bay Porter will charge each way
$30.00 for the first person and $12.00 each additional
person. Bay Porter also offers a 7-passenger van for
the amount of $75.00 each way. For individual and group

BART Service
Another alternative form the San Francisco Airport is
the Bay Area Rapid Transit system
(BART). For the amount of $5.50 each way you can take
the Pittsburgh/Bay Point Line or the Richmond line and
get off at 12 St. Oakland, a block away from the Marriott
Hotel.
BART is a clean, safe and affordable mode of transportation.
Parking:
Parking is available at the Convention Center garage
for $15.00 per day.
Valet parking is available for $21.00 a day
HRC does not provide scholarships for ground transportation
